Browser miner. Made for Desktops/Laptops/Chromebooks

A standalone experiment: this page runs RandomX in a Web Worker and sends shares to MoneroOcean under your wallet. We take 0% — no cut of your hashrate, no redirected shares (the pool may charge its own fee). Expect toy H/s. A hidden tab stops hashing.

What this page does — and what it does not

This is a consented cryptominer; that is the whole point of the page. Here is the short version, and the commands to check it yourself.

It does
  • Start hashing only after you press Start, and stop on Stop or when the tab closes.
  • Send shares to MoneroOcean with your address as the pool login — the one you typed.
  • Write one thing to this site's private storage: a ~2 GB RandomX dataset cache, reused so it is not rebuilt every visit.
  • Remember two small things locally: your address, and the VMW-… worker id.
  • Keep a copy of its own files — this page, its script, its stylesheet, its icons — in one on-device cache, so the app opens offline. That cache holds nothing from anyone else.
  • Open a single WebSocket to this site's own relay, which forwards bytes to the pool unchanged.
It does not
  • Ask for a seed phrase or private key. Ever. Anyone who does is stealing from you.
  • Mine before you press Start, or keep mining once the tab or app is closed.
  • Install a system service or a background agent. "Add to Home Screen" is a shortcut, a full-screen window and a cache of this page — nothing runs when it is shut.
  • Load third-party scripts, fonts, analytics or ads — the CSP header forbids it (default-src 'none').
  • Use cookies, or ask for camera, microphone, location or your files.
  • Touch anyone's coins: mining pays the address you pasted, and no key is ever involved.

Check the bytes you were served yourself: curl -s https://web.voltminer.net/js/vendor/randomx/web-randomx-mt.wasm | shasum -a 256 — published hashes, the wasm patch, the build recipe and the relay's source live in /transparency. The relay rewrites nothing, so a redirected payout would show up as somebody else's address on the MoneroOcean dashboard.

The offline copy is inspectable too: a browser keeps it under DevTools → Application → Service Workers and Cache Storage, and a phone keeps it under Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data. Diagnose the device instead of guessing — /diag.html. If you ever want it gone, Delete cached dataset plus Forget my wallet plus clearing site data removes every byte this page stored.
